Titel

The sound of the Audience is a sound piece created by Forsøgsstationen/the Lab Station.
It examines the audience’s sound identity in the theater and is written by composer Peter Bruun, based on the plays by Vsevolod Meyerhold’s audio studies of the 1920s audience. The soundwork is based solely on the audience’s sounds and actions in the theater, and is recorded by 50 citizens from Vesterbro, retirees, schoolchildren, parents, socially disadvantaged and students, under the guidance of conductor Erik Jakobsson and the Lab Station’s artistic management.

The sound of the Audience is part of the EU project “Caravan Next”, with the Nordic Theater Laboratory – Odin Theatre from Holstebro as the initiator.

Short documentaries of the original work from the Royal Theatre in Copenghagen, 2017, and the restaging in Turin, 2018
