Helle Lyshøj graduated as a visual artist at Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam in 1999 and has since worked with video design and video scenography for dance, theater, opera and performances.
On stage her videos function as performers and add an extra layer of staged reality. She masters various techniques such as animation, morphing, green screen and live video on stage. A characteristic of her video work is the interaction between video and live performance.
In Denmark, she has worked in the field of video art for the stage collaborating with among others Erik Pold/LiminalDK, Daniel Norback/Norpol, Aaben Dans Productions and Das Beckwerk.
In the Netherlands she works in the collective FishingShootingHunting (FSH) with video artist Susanna Brenner and director Bart Oomen.
FSH makes video productions, theatrical presentations and crossover productions. Among the clients are Het Muziektheater and De Nederlandse Opera.
